Udupi: BJP leaders squarely blame Congress activists for unpleasant incidents

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB/SP)

Udupi, Sep 11: Local MLA, K Raghupati Bhat, and BJP district president, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, have blamed Congress activists for forcing people to observe bandh as per the call given by their party on September 10, and held them squarely responsible for unpleasant incidents which happened here on Monday September 10.

Speaking at a press meet held at the BJP district office at Kadiyali here on Monday September 10, they claimed that the Congress activists resorted to vandalism at several places, while in some cases, the things inside the shops which were open, were thrown out. They blamed the police for becoming mute spectators in such incidents instead of extending protection to shopkeepers. "The police personnel acted like the security personnel of those indulging in destructive activities. If the police had stopped them when they indulged in forceful bandh near bus stand and Car Street here, there would have been no need for caning them later," they felt.

They claimed that seven to eight workers of BJP including a municipal councillor have been thrashed badly and their nature of injuries are grave. "We demand that the police should identify the attackers and register criminal cases against them. They should also be arrested and subjected to legal action. Failing compliance, BJP will be organizing strong measures of protest," they warned.

Why are you crying, Congress and JDS has done what you all were doing before .
Hope BJP is thrown out of the ruling party in 2019.
This shows that the Bandh was a success.

This is typical of the BJP to attack or blame the messenger than accept the message of fuel prices hitting the ceiling and the misery it has caused to the common man.

Two more terrorists killed by Modi Government today. Let's celebrate. Forget about petrol price. We elected Modi to eliminate terrorists and stone pelters. Not to reduce petrol price. That can be done by anybody. Just reduce tax. Prices will come down. What is great in this. After that, from where will government gets money to eliminate terrorists.

Our Military killed terrorists and not Modi.

Modi agreed to share power with anti national PDP and hence Modi's desh bhakthi credentials are doubtful.

Why did BJP agreed to share power with PDP? Now they have snapped ties with PDP but they shared power for three years.

What about Rape Terrorists? Why Modi is not killing them?

Congress party organised Bundh for a good cause considering the rise in fuel prices. But BJP members took to the streets in support of Asifa's rape terrorists.

Now what you have to say?

Being a MLA and knowing that your BJP is not in power in the State, you should have advised people to shut down and not instigate the mob. If a fish is swimming against the current and expects to achieve results, who is stupid - the fish or the water current ?

If we can recall during the bandh called by BJP during the visit of Kerala CM to Mangalore ayear ago BJP supporting goons forced and threatened shop keepers to shut down and support their pritest. But yesterday the situation was not same as no one forced to shut the shops.

If BJP threatened shop keepers during their bandh its fine. If others do the same its against the Law.

This is what we say Indian politics.
