Chikkamagaluru: Man slices off wife's neck - presents severed head in police station

Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkamagaluru (SP)

Chikkamagaluru, Sep 11: A man who got livid at the alleged immoral relationship his wife had with another person, cut off her head by slicing her neck, and presented it in the police station where he surrendered. This incident happened at Shivani in Tarikere taluk in the district on the night of Sunday, September 9.

The man who murdered his wife has been identified as Sathish, a resident of Shivani village in Tarikere taluk near Ajjampura.

Sathish was a driver by profession. He used to work as driver at Bengaluru till sometime back. Recently he had stopped working as driver and opened a meat shop at his native place.

Sathish, it is gathered, had fallen in love with Roopa and married her nine years ago. The couple has two children.

As Roopa had illicit relationship with a man, Sathish often fought with her on this issue. There were occasions in which the case even went before the police. The relatives however had intervened and advised the couple to patch up and live harmoniously. It is said that Roopa continued with her extramarital relationship. When Sathish returned home after business hours on Sunday night, he found his wife in the company of a man.

Getting angry, Sathish swung his machete at the paramour of his wife, but the man succeeded in escaping. He then turned his ire towards his wife, cut off her head, kept it in a bag, went to Ajjampura police station located 20 kilometres away from his home in his motor bike, and presented the skull there. He also surrendered to the police.

The police, who have arrested Sathish, have begun investigation into the case.

Looks like very stubborn and hell bent woman to satisfy her lusty immoral physical relation with another man in spite of being married.
She had neglected family member advice and continued to live in illicit relationship.
She only invited trouble and ultimate death.
Husband must have lost all his patience and out of desperation and in pit of anger took a crude and drastic step to kill her. (cruel death)

A ghastly action from husband. He must have done in a affect, anger and feeling sad .Wife was certainly at fault, she could have thought of children and change her life.He too could diverceher .But poor children have to suffer and live as orphans.Any husband would have angered and done this I feel.Noone would tolerate this type of wifes behaviour.Heartfelt sympathy to the children .

Castewise, community wise, regionalised we must actively educate people on handling conflict, controlling anger.

All these sene, BD, shakhas are futile, if we do not reach out to people who are in turmoil.

For a while, forget cows, attend to humans.

I think police had bigger role to play when that illegal relationship reached police first time... They should have put Roopa in jail for one month simple imprisonment and must have forced to change her behaviour...
Otherwise what is the use of going to police? We need to change our system...sometimes imprisonment is the only solution!

Dear Stan, do not treat all individuals as the same. The temperament, sustaining levels of mind of people differ.

I saw the ghastly video on whatsapp of this man holding the slit head of his wife in the police station. However, he spoke in a okay tone and explained why he has done it. Though I do not support his action, probably he thought it was right at the heat of the moment.

The lady lost her life because of her lust.
