Bengaluru, Sep 11: Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said that the Bharath Bandh called by Congress on Monday has caused loss of business worth Rs 3,500 crore in Karnataka.

“While there was a direct loss of Rs 200 crore, income from petrol bunks alone worth Rs 30 crore was lost. Daily income from industries worth Rs 160 crore also is lost,” said FKCCI president Sudhaker S Shetty.

“There is no benefit because of Bandh. State government should reduce cess on petrol and diesel immediately. There is no need to wait. The Bandh has caused huge loss to industries and business houses,” he said.

First of all explain to public how much extra revenue has been generated into Central and State government coffers by way of Excise duty and taxes due to hyked prices on fuel.
Surely the govt is in right position
but people are living in desperation.

There may be few exceptions, but all who opposed last Bandh were once supporters of Bandh. All who supported last Bandh will oppose Bandh in future. Our support and oppose to Bandh depends on who called for Bandh, not the cause .

Gandhi family biggest curse of India since Independence. Most shameless, still wants to rule India and make money! They should not be allowed to contest elections. Congress without Gandhi family will be very competitive against BJP (Specially without Pappu!).

Former RBI Governor in his report said "The RBI set up a fraud monitoring cell when I was Governor to coordinate the early reporting of fraud cases to the investigative agencies. I also sent a list of high-profile cases to the PMO urging that we coordinate action to bring in at least one or two to book. I am not aware of progress on this front. This is a matter that should be addressed with urgency,”.

Unfortunately, he said, the system had been “singularly ineffective” in bringing even a single high-profile fraudster to book. “As a result, fraud is not discouraged,”.
1.Why didn't the PM take action against these known defaulters?
2.When UPA demitted office the NPA was ₹ 2.83 lakh crore. Why bad loans today - it’s ₹12 lakh crore?
    3. Why did PM Modi not act against defaulters based on Rajan’s letter?

Any bandh is known loss and discomfort. How the centers BJP government knowingly allowed fraud is matter of more concern.

What a waste of money and unproductive bandh. Instead follow the example of Japan to protest. People who oppose increased fuel costs should have not used their vehicle for the entire day to save the cost of fuel.

How many people you take sharing while you use your car ? Because, if you share your drive with others, more than double of the fuel will be saved. Its just like how much privacy you demand - people want their luxury.

    Start practicing yourself, then preach.
