Bengaluru, Sep 12: Even as rumours are running thick and thin about Jarkiholi brothers preparing to jump into the BJP bandwagon, JD(S) has dropped broad hints that it will be making an effort to get BJP legislators to join it.
Reports say that JD(S) ministers, Bandeppa Kashempur and C S Puttaraju, have been given the responsibility of bringing in as many MLAs as possible from BJP into the party fold.

Minor irrigation minister, C S Puttaraju, speaking at Mandya about this development, asked media persons to wait and watch. "You just wait to see how many legislators will come into JD(S) from BJP," he stated, adding that he cannot reveal to the media about political moves and tie-ups. He also clarified that his party does not believe in hit-and-run politics and that it has always rendered successful politics. Puttaraju stated he will successfully discharge the responsibilities entrusted to him.
As if to support this statement, chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, told the media in Mandya on Tuesday, to wait a few days to see for themselves that five MLAs from BJP would be taking a u-turn. "We can get them to resign," he said in a remark which seemed like being on the lighter note.
