Mangaluru, Sep 12: The public office of Vedavyasa Kamath, MLA of Mangaluru South, was inaugurated at Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) building on Wednesday, September 12.

Vaman Kamath and Taravi Kamath, parents of Vedavyas inaugurated the office by lighting the lamp. Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty, Zilla Panchayat president Meenakshi Shanthigodu, vice-president Zilla Panchayat Kasturi Panja, Former Deputy Speaker Yogesh Bhat, Brijesh Chowta, Premananda Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal, Anand Shetty, and other BJP leaders were present.

Welcoming the gathering Vedavyas said, "Today onwards, I will serve the people from this office. It is open to all and people can visit here with their applications, memorandums or suggestions. I will try to meet everyone who visits my office. If I am out of the city or engaged with public programmes, my personal secretary and staff will take care of the people who visit my office. Besides the office, I want to make this as a center for social service. I welcome you all to this new premises of service."

    Looks like our elected representatives main job is inaugurating offices, buildings, parks, shops, apartments and etc. What about the Hampankatta circle the road is in a very bad state. Now if any vehicle moves on this circle you can see a cloud of dust. What about inaugurating some footpaths by constructing some good footpaths. Improving the Bunder fish market (old port). The road going towards the NMPT area is also very bad. What is the central Govt. boasting of constructing so many roads.

    @vedavyasa kamat, y u did not involve in da bharat bundh????????? petrol & diesel prices r @ da neck, rupee has no value & both r 1st time in 72 years. never happened b4 since independence. were u supporting increased prices & decreed rupee value, what is your stance & silence in da matter. in 2019 u have 2 use hindu card 2 win. hardly your party may win or hardly your party will loose @ da lowest..

    Wish you all the best Mr Kamat. I request you to spend everyday atleast one hour visting your constituency to meet people and try to solve their problems and also please shift service bus stand from the present location to decongest city. Please put pressure on our useless MP to complete pumpwell flyover and construct a new fly over at nanthoor junction. God BlessYou.

    The Bharath bundh was not only a political issue but also fuel prices concern is to be addressed by the Union Government.

    MLA did make sure he did not let any hooliganism by any against the bundh in his constituency. He also reached out with free lunch facilities to those stuck at the KSRTC Bus Depot.
