Mangalore, Oct 26: Sri Gokarnanatheshwar temple, Kudroli, was the centre of attraction on Sunday October 26, with colourful ‘Goodudeepas’ (traditional lamps) on display.




























Local cable news channel ‘Namma Kudla’ had organized a Goodudeepa competition on Sunday evening, on the occasion of Deepavali. Hundreds of competitors participated in the event. 

The temple is known for its serenity, and beauty was a sight to see, with the colourful and innovative Goodudeepas everywhere. Goodudeepas depicting the Mysore palace, a deep sea fishing vessel, the thousand pillar Jain Basadi of Moodbidri, Kathakali, and the like, enchanted the viewers.





A poetry recital programme and various cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.
