Bengaluru, Sep 16: It seems that the Congress high command has woken up after the intensity of the 'Operation Kamala' rumours are getting pace. Accordingly, K C Venugopal, state Congress in-charge, arrived in the city unexpectedly on the evening of Saturday, September 15 and held a long meeting with the state Congress leaders.
Venugopal collected the information on the political developments in the state from KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, working president Eshwar Khandre, DCM Dr G Parameshwar and minister for water resources D K Shivakumar.

It is learnt that the state Congress leaders have appraised Venugopal of BJP leaders' trying to exploit the benefit out of the chaotic situation in the state Congress created by the Jarakiholi brothers. In addition, Venugopal is also informed about the complaint filed by Congress party with the income tax department against the BJP leaders, who are trying to lure the Congress MLAs by offering them monetary benefits.
It is learnt that Venugopal is going to put these issues across to the Congress high command and will have one more round of talks with the state leaders as soon as Siddaramaiah returns from his tour of Europe and try to prevent the rebellion that is showing its ugly head in the state Congress party.
