Bengaluru, Sep 30: The failure of 'Operation Kamala' to form the government in the state by bringing down the coalition rule, the inability to win the three MLC seats in the legislative council and the shattering of the dream of holding the power in BBMP have irked the state BJP activists and as a result the internal rivalry among the leaders in the party has reached its peak.
Information is being heard that certain leaders of the BJP party themselves have passed on the information to the Congress party with respect to the plan that is being hatched in the BJP party about the three operations and that is why the party failed in all the three major tasks.
It is learnt that the ego of certain leaders in the party is not allowing any plan of BJP to meet its intended goal. As per the information available from sources close to the party inner rung, this behaviour of the leaders has outraged the workers of the party as the Lok Sabha elections are round the corner.
In order to win the three MLC seats and also to gain power in BBMP, certain BJP leaders had hatched a plan to attract the legislators of Congress, JD (S) and Independents. However, as some of the BJP party leaders leaked this secret to the ruling party leaders, it is said, due to which all the plans failed utterly.
Non-cooperation is the key to failure
When state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa tried to form the government by enticing the MLAs of Congress and JD (S), other state leaders of BJP did not cooperate. Instead, they leaked the information. When former DCM R Ashok tried to gain power for BJP in BBMP also the same internal rivalry failed the plan. In both instances, the ego of the concerned leaders was the reason for failure. It is learnt that there were great differences between the factions belonging to B S Yeddyurappa, Anantkumar and D V Sadananda Gowda. For the same reason even the plan to grab the three MLC seats did not materialize.
