Mangaluru, Sep 30: Scores of people were left disappointed here at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre on Sunday, September 30 as the said interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the audience on his well-known ‘Mann Ki Baat’ did not take place.
It may be recalled that district BJP had widely publicised the programme as a rare opportunity for people to interact with PM Modi.
But, the people who gathered at the hall were left high and dry with no such interaction taking place. The audience had to be contented with only the speech. PM Modi spoke about Mahatma Gandhi, the anniversary of surgical strikes and also ‘Swacch Bharat Mission’. The programme concluded with former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik rendering the vote of thanks which left people disappointed.
The message of interaction with PM Modi had widely spread on social media. The programme which is telecasted on radio and television, was telecasted at the hall on a giant screen.
The district BJP defended itself saying that the said interaction was not possible due to some technical reason with the jammer at the central prison being one among them.
