Mangaluru: 20-year-old engineering student ends life at PG

Mangaluru, Sep 30: A student of a private engineering college in Valachil committed suicide at his paying guest accommodation on Saturday, September 29.

The student has been identified as Sharath Babu (20), a resident of Koramangala in Bengaluru.

He was in a 3rd semester electronic and communication branch. He took the extreme step by hanging at his PG flat near the college.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital after following the due procedure.

Parents of the deceased student have been informed about the incident. Reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.

    parents and students....there is a life without engineering degree. so stop these push for extra coaching, engineering etc. basically stop this competition, ranks, photos in news papers etc. need to watch three idiots movie again. none of the countries post student photos on news papers when they score high.... why in India we have such nonsense. it is not motivation, just killing our students and discouraging them.
