Young Musician Kevin Misquith to Launch Innovative Third Album 'He Jeenn'
Mangalore, Nov 5: Just 22-year-old, quiet but handsome boy has big dreams to excel in Konkani music world. Kevin Misquith from Suratkal has already two Konkani music albums and a few musical nites in his bag. He wants to take Konkani to further height. He wants to take his Konkani songs to national-level channels and he wants to compete with Kannada and Hindi composers.
It does not matter if he cannot reach there. But he has these big dreams which make him toil hard and brings best out from him.
His another Konkani album is now all set to release in the next month during his musical nite at Suratkal.
"It is sad that for everything we need to go and trouble sponsors for Konkani cause. If Konkani music could stand on its own legs without depending on sponsors (i.e. recovering cost only through the means of selling) then there would have been many more professionals in Konkani music," says young composer, who just completed his graduation from St Aloysius College and now concentrating on animation skills. He has already got a job in Hyderabad, but still wants to hang around in Mangalore if he gets better break.
Kevin's new album will have some new and experienced names. Roshan D'Souza Angelore will be directing the music for his album, and he has tried well-experienced and one of India's best bass guitarists in the fusion form, Jossie John.
He is not only a good composer, but a good singer too. But he does not want to sing many songs in his album and wants to give chance to new comers as well as other known singers. Dr Abhishek, Johnson Crasta, Prakash D'Souza, Adolf Jaythilak, Chandrahas, Arun Danthy, Babitha D'Costa, Amabelle Moras including two new singers Ashwin Sequeria and Jean Braggs along with Kevin himself will lend their melodious voice to the tunes of Kevin
"Hi Jeen" Konkani album, no doubt will be a little different from others. His hardwork, homework, groundwork will surely bring him success.
