Mangalore, Nov 5: Santosh D Andrade of Ashok Nagar in the city has won the prestigious 10th Southern Region Art Exhibition Award instituted by the Camel Art Foundation, recently. His painting titled ‘The Worship’ in acrylic, entered in the professional category, won him the cash award.

The award will be given away at a function to be held at Darbar Hall Art Gallery in Cochin on Monday November 10. The award includes the prestigious Camel Art Foundation Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

Andrade also recently participated in the international painting exhibition ‘Zen Next 3’ held in Kolkota. Artists from various countries including America, Italy, Poland, Canada, France, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, participated in this exhibition. Andrade was the sole representative of the nation at the exhibition.
