Reddy said, heli-tourism will also be initiated to enable tourists from the higher income groups to visit the local tourism hotspots.

Kaup and Malpe beach will be developed as tourist destinations at a cost of Rs 30 crore of which Rs 55 lac has already been released for Kaup and Rs 1.5 lac spent on the Malpe beach road that will be further developed once the zilla panchayat hands over its possession to the tourism department, he assured.

A cable car facility will be set up between St Mary Island and Malpe beach at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore that will bring in a revolution into the state tourism sector, he added. Reddy was accompanied by municipal commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, and tourism department director Shivalingayya.

POLITICIANS AND INDIAN BUREACRATS DO NOT SHUT YOUR EYES TO THE FAST APPROACHING DEADLINE OF UN REPORT OF CLIMATE CHANGE IT IS TOTAL CATASTRPHE UNLESS THINGS ARE NOT PLANNED IN ADVANCE. THE COASTAL AREA INVESTMENT SHOULD BE REDUCED TO PLAN A LONG TERM SCHEME TO SHIFT LOW LYING AREA PEOPLE TO HIGH ALTITUDE AREAS.

That’s such a joke look at the sorry state of our roads Mr. Reddy no doubt he took a Helicopter ride to Malpe. If he had traveled by road he would take a one month medical leave in United States. One more hope one more false promise.

Is he serious or what? Hello Mr. Reddy, you are talking impossibles here. First, like someone said make a free clover-leaf Junction at Nanthoor and install signal at KPT. Get the roads ready from Udupi to Bantwal which work has begun decades ago, get all the fly-overs operational by 2009 and talk the "6-lane wide" nonesense.

One more joker. There sHould be some limit for false promises. Reddy promises 6 lane road from Mangalore to Goa but what is the condition of present road and regarding cable car facility from Malpe to St. Mary's Island - this will be Reddy's 8th wonder if materialised. Government should provide Good Roads, Electricity and Drinking Water - this will be enough for the over development of any village/Town/City in regard Agriculure,Industreies, Tourism etc.

Dear Mr. Reddy, forget the 6 lanes road please repair the present road let people travel without cursing your government. Secondly don't give false promises which can not be met. It is not necessary instead you can just enjoy the tour and keep quiet. By the way Why Mr. Raghupathi Bhat is not talking anything?

'Barking dogs do not bite' is what I would say of Mr. Reddy's blah blah. Rather than setting up a cable car facility between Malpe and St. Mary's island why not set up one between Shiradi ghats and Mangalore and another at Charmadi ghats so that people will be able to travel freely.
