Bengaluru, Oct 26: Industries Minister for Large and Medium Industry, Biotechnology and Science and Technology KJ George attended a round-table discussion with the representatives of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in Bengaluru on Friday.

George extended his full support to the industry bodies and stressed on the various initiatives implemented in Ease of Doing Business in Karnataka.

He expressed confidence that with Bengaluru being home to a conducive business environment and strong initiatives, the industry in Karnataka will reach new heights in the coming years.

The minister discussed the strategies to enhance the functioning of the organisation with the representatives of FKCCI.

The minister heard the requests and suggestions from the participants to create a conducive business environment in Karnataka.

He assured to address each issue according to priority and hold meetings with FKCCI regularly in order to ensure smooth coordination between the government and the organisation.

Gaurav Gupta, Principal Secretary (Commerce and Industries), while responding to the issues highlighted by the representatives, suggested that a special session on ease of doing business could be held for the representatives and members of FKCCI.

About 16 major issues related to trade and industry including infrastructure, water tariff, KIADB land issues, online registration facilities, townships were brought up and discussed in the roundtable.

The round-table discussion was also attended by Senior Vice President of FKCCI C R Janardhana, Vice President Perikal M Sundar, Secretary General H A C Prasad, K Ravi and others.
