Byndoor, Oct 27: “We will campaign in Shivamogga Lok Sabha bye elections putting forward the work of BJP government at the centre, its achievements, corruption free administration, contributions to the people and praise in the world,” said Vidhana Parishat opposition leader Kota Srinivas Poojary.

He was speaking at a news conference in Byndoor on Friday. “Raghavendra was MP in this constituency for five years. He had brought huge funds for fisheries port, Jetty and roads. People have good impression about him.”

“The two parties in state coalition government have gone in two different directions. Sandhya Suraksha money is not paid for the last six months. As subsidy for zero interest loans is not paid, fishermen are paying interest to the banks. Demand for extra kerosene for country boats in not fulfilled. Retaining wall for the sea has become a way to make money.”

“Fisheries minister Venkatarao Nadagowda says that the center has not released money for fisheries development. The funds are curtailed as not even a small portion of the funds released are utilized. There will be all round development in Shivamogga if Raghavendra gets elected,” he said.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, leaders Sadananda Uppinakudru, Sandhya Ramesh, Ramachandra Baikampady, Navin Shetty Kuthyar, Devadas Shetty, Deepak Kumar Shetty, Suresh Batwadi, Priyadarshini Beskoor and Sadashiva Paduvari were present.
