Udupi, Oct 27: District Superintendent Police, Lakshman Nimbargi released media vehicle stickers at Udupi press club, Brahmagiri here on Friday October 26.
On releasing the media stickers, SP Nimbargi said, "The media stickers will help identify working journalists and will prevent misuse of media name. It will give an identity to authorised media persons in VVIPs visits and other programmes. Police will easily identify them. I will send directions to all media transporting vehicles to stick stickers on their vehicles."
Udupi district working journalists' association president Ganesh Prasad Pandelu presided over the programme.
Kiran Manjanbailu, state journalist association member, Santhosh Saralebettu, general secretary, Diwakar Hiriyadka, treasurer, Nagraj Rao Varkady convener and Subaschandra Vagle were present.
