Kundapura, Oct 29: Villagers in Byndoor on Sunday October 29 protested against people's representatives and warned of boycotting the upcoming elections.

The residents of fourth ward of Bijur village on Sunday protested against the MLAs and MP for not taking any step to develop the village.

The villagers alleged that B Y Raghavendra and B S Yeddyurappa who were MPs for the last 9 years have contributed nothing for the village. The local MLAs too have done nothing in developing the village. The officials and the representatives also failed to utilise state and central funds to develop the village.

The villagers also alleged that those leaders who campaign before elections making fake promises turn deaf to their problems after the elections are over. The villagers also complained that they do not have basic facilities like drinking water and streetlights.

The decision to boycott elections by the villagers has worried the party leaders and officials as they are gearing up for by-polls.
