Mangaluru, Oct 30: Mangaluru CCB police raided an illegal gambling den in Kulur under Kavoor police station limits, and arrested thirteen people who were gambling ‘Andar Bahar’.
The raids were conducted after receiving definite information. The arrested suspects have been identified as Nithyananda Shetty, Sujay S Shetty, Lancy D’ Souza, Kartik Dinesh Anchan, Raghu N K, Avinash, Mahesh Kumar Shetty, Dikshit Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Deepak Shetty, Mohammed Mustafa, Kaushik Gowda and Mohammed Hanif.
Rs 16,800 and cards used for gambling were confiscated from them. Another accused Vishwas fled during the raid. The arrested accused and items confiscated from them were handed over to Kavoor police station for further action.
CCB unit inspector Shantarama, PSI Sham Sunder, HD Kabbalraj and CCB unit staff took part in the operation.
