Kundapur, Nov 1: Udupi special court has granted bail to village accountant, accused of sexually harassing a minor girl. Hejmady village accountant Kumaraswamy (42) is the accused. Police had arrested him and sent him to jail on charges of sexually harassing a minor girl who had come to the village accountant for land related office work.

Kumaraswamy had obtained the mobile number of the girl and used to telephone her pestering her to marry him. The girl had complained at Padubidri police station that the man had taken her to a restaurant, provided refreshments and harassed her to send him her nude pictures. Police had registered Pocso case against him.

Ravikiran Murdeshwar had argued the case. The judge who heard the case on Wednesday, has provided conditional bail to the suspect.
