Bengaluru: Its actress Parvathi Menon's turn now to join #MeToo bandwagon

Bengaluru, Nov 1: At a time when #MeToo campaign has been playing havoc all over the country, multi-lingual actress, Parvathi Menon, has now claimed that she had been sexually harassed when young.

Parvathi made this claim during Mumbai Film Festival. She stated that she was sexually harassed when her age was was three or four years. She said she could understand what it was after she turned 17.

Guruprasad: In response to allegations made by director, Guruprasad, against certain actresses, Sudarshan, husband of Sangeetha Bhat, and Arathi, wife of Guruprasad, gave their reactions to the media on Wednesday. Arathi said that Guruprasad has now been speaking about his wife and daughter but he had driven herself and her daughter out of his residence at midnight. She said she is happy that those who faced injustice from him are speaking up. She asserted that she happens to be the ex -wife of Guruprasad now.

Sarja: In the meantime, the petition filed by actor, Arjun Sarja, seeking to quash a first information report registered by actress, Shruti Hariharan, against him relating to #MeToo, would be taken up by the high court on Friday November 2. Senior advocate, B V Acharya, who appeared on behalf of Sarja, presented the matter before the bench presided by Justice P S Dinesh Kumar, requested the petition to be taken up emergency. The bench said that the petition would be taken up on Friday. At the same time, Shruti Hariharn had filed caveat in the high court requesting it to hear her side of the argument before arriving at any decision.
