Puttur: Man held for cultivating, selling ganja

Puttur, Nov 1: Haris (32), a resident of Kodenkeri in Kodimbala village in the taluk was arrested by the police from KSRTC bus stand at Nelyady on the allegation of selling ganja on Wednesday October 31. They recovered 225 grams of ganja from his possession.

Haris confessed during the questioning that he has been growing ganja in the backyard of his house, and that he had been selling ganja after drying its flowers. The police then raided his home and took into possession ganja grown by him there.

The operation was conducted by Uppinangady police sub-inspector, Nandakumar, under the guidance of higher officials of the department.
