Riyadh: Saudi Police Detain Prime Suspects in Ismail Murder Case

Riyadh, Nov 16: The mystery shrouding the murder of Jokatte Ismail alias Unnimonu is deepening with each passing day. Quite a few conspiracy theories have also popped up in the meantime. It is being hoped that the real culprit or culprits will soon be in custody and the motive for crime brought to light.

Saudi police have rounded up two suspects at the international airport in the city, but their names have not yet been divulged. They are clearly Indians, but there is no clue as to which part of India they are natives of.
As per one of the theories making the rounds the murder suspect is a business contact with whom Ismail is believed to have had a verbal falling-out some time recently. But it is still not clear as to who this individual might be as a couple of people are thought to fall into this category. It is also not clear if one of the six persons, mostly Indians, previously taken into custody by Saudi law enforcement agencies, could be the killer or not.
However, it is being believed that money was the motive for the crime and involvement of a person or persons from around his hometown has not been ruled out yet. The physical and material evidence found at the scene of the crime is said to be helping the authorities make definite headway in their investigation.
The Saudi police and investigative agencies are good enough in forensic science, and criminology with expertise in CSR (crime scene reconstruction) and BPA (bloodstain pattern analysis). Hence, what is certain is that once found guilty, the murderer will be subject to the ‘shariah’ law that binds the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to which, punishment will be death.
The corpse is now in the morgue at Sumeshi Hospital in Riyadh for further investigation and legal formalities as per the law of the Kingdom. No one is being allowed to visit the hospital to see the remains due to security reasons as it is a medical-lego case.
