M'luru: St Agnes College Hindi dept conducts fruitful 'Hindi Sahityaaur Cinema' seminar

Mangaluru, Nov 29: The department of Hindi, St Agnes College (autonomous) on November 24 organised a one day national level seminar on the topic 'Hindi Sahityaaur Cinema'.

A Shridhar Murthi, deputy general manager Vijaya Bank, here was the chief guest of the inaugural function. Jayanti Prasad Nautiyal, registrar, Bhagwat Global University, Pouri, Uttrakhand was the keynote speaker. Resource persons were Dr Usha Rani, HOD, Hindi poet and writer, Baldwin Methodist Women’s College, Bengaluru and Dr Rupa Chari, asst prof, department of Hindi, Shree Mallikarjun College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Goa were present.



112 participants from all over India attended the seminar out of which there were 68 teachers, 29 students and 15 TOLIC members (Town Official Language Implementation Committee). 59 participants presented papers.

A book was released which emerged out of the topic Hindi Sahityaaur Cinema.

The valedictory ceremony was held in the evening and Vijay Walia, general manager Corporation Bank, Mangaluru was the chief guest of the valedictory ceremony.

The seminar was highly appreciated by the participants.
