Toronto, Dec 3: In connection with the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, a candle light vigil is being organized on Saturday December 6, 2008 at the 1510 Drew Road unit #14 Mississauga, (One block north of Derry and Dixie on Dixie), L5S1W7 ( Art of Living Centre) at 6 pm.
In this colossal and senseless tragedy, 183 people lost their lives. These people include Americans, Canadians British, Italians, Israelis, Thailand, Australia, Singapore and Indians.
The purpose of this Vigil is also to pay homage to the brave security force personnel who sacrificed their lives, protecting the nation.
"The people of India are resilient and strong. They have built a vibrant multi-ethnic democracy. They can withstand this trial", stated President Bush. Canadian PM termed the attacks as “despicable and cowardly".
The organizers have noted that there have been persistent attacks on values that people hold so dear to their hearts. They have asked people to stand united and show unstinted support and solidarity to the people of India at this time of crisis.
