Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Jan 3: It is learnt that rationalist thinker, Prof K S Bhagwan, who has often been in the eye of storm on account of his anti-Hindu rhetoric and books, has received instructions from the police not to issue any controversial statements for the time being. Prof Bhagwan has been getting criticism for his latest book titled 'Rama Mandira Yeke Beda (why Ram Mandir is not needed)'.

Many people have lodged complaints in different police stations in Karnataka, accusing his book of containing contemptuous and blasphemous remarks about Lord Ram, Lord Hanumantha and Sita which have hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Prof Bhagwan said that he has been orally told not to issue controversial statements either in the presence of media or outside. He is learnt to have received this instruction from the city police commissioner, which was conveyed through subordinate officers.

At the same time, Prof Bhagwan continues to get round-the-clock police protection. He claims that he is not aware of any cases having been registered against him so far. His residence has been provided with CCTV cameras.

The government has been spending about Rs 50 lac annually by way of police personnel, gunman etc towards extending protection to Prof Bhagwan. and even CCTV cameras have been provided and managed by police department. Prof Bhagwan has been claiming that he has been doing what is constitutionally his right and he has nothing do with the security aspect.

Santhosh Thammaiah was arrested for commenting against Tipu but here bhagwan commenting against hindu religion, god with govt/police protection. when some one insult/hurt hindu religion or sentiment of hindu people then it comes under freedom of speech & our intellectuals/seculars are silent. but if any one even talk against tipu then he will be communal & govt arrest them. what kind of freedom is this. why this kind of double standard by our police dept. who behind this drama.

what a soft corner ... what's happening. when some one wrote something stupid at FB on a minority sector, with in no time the individual was arrested. but this evil who is saying Lord Rama was a drunkard, was giving meat to Sita ... killed his brother Laxman etc etc... but police dared not to arrest him, politely requested him to be silent as of now. what a polite approach... is this an indication for us Hindus to open our eyes and be careful while next election. Your one wrong decision can erase Hinduism from this country. Lot of example or evidents are available... shabarimala case, ayondhya temple issue, this joker Bhagvan speaking non sense still allowed to be free... prakash rai barking something, rahul meeting our enemy country like Pakistan and china secretly.... lot of things are happening... just to get the power pulled back from Modi and BJP. be careful while voting in LS election...

Good unbiased job by Karnataka police even though it is targeted at opposition BJP. BJP hasn't taken any action so far for controversial statements made by its leaders towards opposition especially at congress. These BJP leaders are either forced to make statements or they make them to appease their BJP masters. In either case no accountability on their contraversial statements.
