Udupi, Jan 3: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math on Thursday, January 3 said that Mogaveera community is the one which extends its support in all ways.

Addressing media he said, “I was not aware of the incident. If I knew it, I would have brought it to the notice of President Ram Nath Kovind. I was shocked to learn that it was being said on social media that I am not with the fishermen in their difficult times. There is a strong and close bond between the Ashta Maths. The Mogaveera community people are like soldiers for Sri Krishna Math and Ashta Maths of Udupi.

“The government protects who insults Lord Ram and spends money on them, but is neglecting the Mogaveera community. They also play a part in the development of the economy of the nation. Protection of citizens is the duty of the government. I will support the fishermen association in all ways. The government has to take some action to search locate the fishermen. I will urge them to focus on the case. I ensure that I am always ready to fight to get justice. I always with you. I will pray every day for those missing fishermen that they return soon. I will not be at peace until those seven members are back. I will try to bring it to the notice of district in-charge minister, Fisheries ministry and concerned departments to take up necessary and immediate action,” he said.

Satish Kundar, president of Malpe Fishermen Association said, “If Pejawar Swamiji wills to do a work, definitely he will do it at any cost.” He further said that even after 20 days, there was no development in locating of the fishermen which has left everyone disappointed.”

Hiriyanna, former president of Malpe Fishermen Association, and Gopal R K, secretary were present.

Why cant government intervene soon and support here, is it really required to take these many days.
How was the support for thai cave issue everyone supported and finally all were rescued, this can be treated in same way and supported out, central rescue team, state rescue team , navy all can act upon here, is it because this happened in small district so there is no decision yet from any one????
If this happens in any other main places everyone would have acted upon rite????
    Its a partiality

First of all, let us pray for the safe return of our fishermen. That is the first priority now.

Then I would like to put my opinion/ observation regarding the statement from Swamiji.

Excuse me Swamiji, You said that- "The government protects who insults Lord Ram and spends money on them".
This is not a responsible statement. Because, when the government is giving protection, it is for the reason that the person should be protected until the investigation is ongoing and verdict is declared by the court. The government is not spending on them to allow them to keep on insulting Shri Ram. This is how democracy works.
But, I know only one person from current BJP government who insulted Sri Ram in the Parliament itself. That was Naresh Agarwal. He had said that in Hindi: "Whiskey me Vishnu Base hain, Aur Rum me Shri Ram." He was in Samajwadi Party at that time.

I am really sorry that there was no comment/ condemnation from Swamiji; objecting the induction of this same Naresh Agarwal into BJp later. BJp also happily spread red carpet to Naresh Agarwal for Political benefit; whereas BJp had earlier stated that Naresh Agarwal's statement is an insult to the whole community.
