Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 5: A person carrying Rs 25.76 lac unaccounted cash kept in four different covers inside a bag he was carrying on his two-wheeler was arrested by the security staff of Vidhana Soudha on Friday January 4. He was taken into custody from near the western gate of Vidhana Soudha.

The arrested man has been identified as an assistant working in the office of the minister for backward classes welfare, C Puttaranga Shetty. The incident has happened within months of the chief minister reiterating his resolve to root out corruption from Vidhana Soudha and seeking support of others in this drive.

Minister C Puttaranga Shetty

Senior officers questioned Mohan till late night about the source of cash. A case relating to the incident was filed in Vidhana Soudha police station. Security deputy commissioner of police, Siddaraju, and assistant commissioner of police, Manjunath, are leading the investigation.

When the police, based on tip off, approached Mohan who was riding his motor bike out of Vidhana Soudha, the employee developed cold feet, took U-turn and tried to escape from another gate. But the police chased him in their jeep and nabbed him, it is said.

Minister, C Puttaranga Shetty, denied having anything to do with the said cash. He said that Mohan has been dismissed from his office forthwith and clarified that he would visit Vidhana Soudha on Saturday to look into the matter.

This looks like a conspiracy otherwise what is this
    person carrying Rs 25.76
he was carrying on his two-wheeler
was arrested by the security staff
He was taken into custody from near the western gate
As if the security staff dreamed that this person carrying money bag in his scooter and that too an assistant working in the office of the minister

    Mona, Mangalore,

please watch kannada news channel. the news channel reporters got the tip & asked this person to show the bag. but he didn't show the bag, then they called the police & explained him. then the police took him to station for investigation. it is gathered that this is not a first time & the hafta collection is going on. so there is no use in defending this person or minister or govt.
