Kuwait: TKK launches calendar, emblem at first committee meeting

Kuwait, Jan 8: Tulu Koota Kuwait (TKK) released calendar – 2019 and 20th year emblem at its first all committee meeting held on January 4, at the Salmiya Play School, Rumathiya, Kuwait.

The event began with a prayer song by Baby Tanvi Shetty and lighting of the lamp by all the guests on the dais. The calendar was released by the chief guest Dr Nithin, along with TKK president, Ramesh S Bhandary, and vice president Sanath Shetty, TKK convener Aikala Sudhakar Shetty, and the advisors Ramesh Kidiyoor and Wilson Dsouza.

Dr Nithin, Physician Internal Medicine of Bader Al Samaa Medical Center, in his address to the gathering, appreciated the dedication and unity of the members of the association, who are basically from Tulunadu and work together as one family under one roof – 'Tulu Koota Kuwait', irrespective of their caste and religion. He wished them success for all the cultural and social welfare events of the association and assured that Bader Al Samaa Medical Center will continue to associate with TKK and support all the events.



As Tulu Koota Kuwait celebrates its 20th year of unity through language, it also launched its 20th year emblem, which was inaugurated by all the guests on the dais.

During this event all the Tulukoota management committee members were honored by the guests with a golden shawl.

All the advisors of TKK present on the dais motivated the committee members and wished them success for the upcoming events of TKK for the year 2019.

Ramesh S Bhandary, the president, in his address to the gathering, appreciated the gracious presence of the committee members and also praised the dedication of themanagement committee members in organizing the calendar and emblem release event. He further explained how a calendar plays a crucial role in our day to day life, to plan our routine, celebrate our festivals and so on. He also thanked Bader Al Samaa for their continued support to Tulu Koota Kuwait. Pointing to the golden theme color of the calendar he hoped that everyone’s life shines like gold and they cherish the events of life. He further requested all the members to actively participate in all the activities of the association, to mark the dates of the events for the year 2019 and to start planning for the events and their success.

The calendar events of Tulu Koota Kuwait for the year 2019 are as follows:
• February 15 - blood donation
• March 15 - family get-together
• March 29 - Rasamanjari
• April 12 - medical camp
• September 27 - Tulu Parba competitions
• October 25 - Tulu Parba
• December 13 - annual general body meeting

The Tulu Koota Kuwait members can relate to the calendar easily as it is the only calendar released in Kuwait that includes all Kuwait holidays as well as Karnataka holidays along with Tulu Koota Kuwait calendar of events.

The calendar sponsored by Bader Al Samaa Medical Center and emblem were designed by Manoj Kumar and the event was beautifully hosted by Lionel Mascarenhas, executive member of Tulu Koota Kuwait. Vijay Wilson TKK secretary thanked everyone. The event concluded with delicious lunch served by Oriental Restaurant Kuwait.
