Mangaluru, Jan 30: The alumni re-union of Expert Pre University College, Valachil ‘Ex-Milan 2019’ was held in the cultural centre of the campus. The proud Expertians pursuing their professional courses all over India thronged to their alma mater to partake in the home coming ceremony.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman Expert Group of Institutions, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering Prof Nayak expressed his happiness over large number of former students turning up to participate in the event with enthusiasm which is an indication of their respect for their alma mater. He also reminded the alumni to adhere to the good values like discipline and hard work taught in Expert. He urged them to be socially useful human beings. Shifa Ali, Neeraj N M, Devika and Nireeksha James shared their experiences and feelings with gratefulness towards the institution.
The office bearers of the alumni association for the year 2019-2020 were elected on the occasion. Principal of the college Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, office bearers of the Expert Alumni Association Mohammad Gouse (President, Kodialbail), Nireeksha James (Joint secretary, Valachil) and SubhashNayak (Secretary, Kodialbail) were present on dais. The president of the Alumni Association Anmol Murali accorded a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the gathering and hosted the programme. Ruthuja Kulkarni proposed the vote of thanks.
For the first time, ‘Poshak-2K19’ an ethnic fashion show exclusively for the Alumni of the college was conducted. Yashas was crowned as Home Coming Prince and Siya Sushilas the Home Coming Princess. They also enjoyed some fun games and grooved to the catchy baila music.
The new office bearers of the Expert Alumni Association are as follows Nireeksha James (President), Prabhu S Yadappanavar(Vice President), Devika R Singh(Vice President), Samay S(Secretary) and Shreyas Shridhar Vasist(Joint Secretary).
The following regional conveners were also selected Shashank Lokeshand Sharanya Akkone (Bengaluru) ; Shivani P Badli and Rohan Kotnur (North Karnataka); Yashas R Gowda and Pulkith Singh (South Karnataka); Neeraj P and Siri L Y (East Karnataka); Siya Sushil and Aravind M P (West Karnataka); Arun Paraddi and Neha Mane (Central Karnataka); G K Chirag and Raksha N Pai (NRI); and Abhinav Raj and Shruthi Ketkale (Non Resident Karnataka ). Anmol Murali, the outgoing president was selected as organising secretary to co-ordinate and guide the activities of Alumni Association.
