Doha: MCC Gears Up for Mandd Sobhann's 'Baila Dabazo'

Doha, Jan 25: January 30, 2009 - the day the Konkani community in Qatar has been eagerly waiting for is finally coming closer. The 18 member 'Mandd Sobhann' troupe of international fame will be flying in from Mangalore on Wednesday, the 28th January 2009 to present their musical treat 'Baila Dabazo’, an evening of fast paced Konkani songs, scintillating dances and ticking comedy, at Gulf Cinema, on Friday 30th January 2009 at 5.30 p.m. sharp. 

The troupe, under the leadership of Konkani Vishwa Kala Ratn Bab Eric Ozario includes singers Joyce Ozario, Prakash D’souza, and Anitha Samson, dancers Avil D’cruz, Anil Spinoza, Jeethan D’cunha, Marula Nisha, Snehal Spinoza, and Sweety D’Cruz, musicians Roshan D’Souza, Richard Monteiro, Ashith Pinto, Sachin Sequeira and Ummesh Iddya,  comedians Alwyn Veigas and Neil Veigas.and the compere, Stany Alvares.


For all those dance buffs who like to groove, there will be a special treat, a 20 minutes non-stop Baila session. For the thinking minds there will be a quiz conducted during the program.

Tickets for children are priced at 50% of the normal rates.

Free transport will be provided from & to the Al-Attiya Market (Thursday/Friday Souq) for our brethren from Salwa Industrial area. The bus will leave Al-Attiya Market at 4:45 PM.

Organizers solicit the presence of Konkani music lovers in large numbers as it will surely be a big bundle of sheer entertainment of the highest quality.
