  • Mangalore, Jan 27: Prasad Attavar, Sri Rama Sena leader who was arrested last night told reporters that, there is no need to raise a hue and cry about the pub attack.

He claimed they did not attack the girls but the boys who brought them to the pub. Attavar is currently being questioned by the police. Despite the nationwide outrage and growing anger over the government dragging its feet, there is still no ban on the group.

Meanwhile eight more activists of the Sri Ram Sena have been taken into custody taking the total number of arrests to 25.

They will be produced in a local court later on Tuesday. But at least 15 others are still at large. According to eye witnesses, there were 40 men who barged into a pub descending to a new low-- physically beating women, dragging them by their hair and assaulting those who tried to intervene.

BJP president Rajnath Singh is in Bangalore and has held a press briefing. He said, "The BJP condemns the pub attack in totality."

He also expressed satisfaction over the state government's handling of the case.

However, the BJP had already claimed that the Sri Ram Sena was an autonomous group and had nothing to do with it or the Sangh parivar.

On his part, Pramod Mutthalik, the chief of the Sri Ram Sena continues to be on the run, but is available on his cell phone.

He was expected to arrive at Hubli in Karnataka late on Monday night but there is still no word on his whereabouts. Speaking to NDTV on Monday, he said that girls going to pubs is not acceptable and whatever his men did was right. He even accused the media of highlighting this small incident to malign the BJP government in the state.

Did not attack girls? I think nobody is blind to beleive that. Politicians are playing a very dirty game, which has to be stopped. Would Muthalik justify this action by his fellowmates if his dear one was involved in this case? and I don't think that any body has the right to take such a step? If this is not taken seriously, then it is an Insult to the culture of India, which respects Women.

Very sad incident. But congrats to media of Mangalore. They put the news in right track. Since this news becomes national issue, state govt. took action. Otherwise this is hand-in-glove action. If this news not been raised in national level. It will be hidden truth. I request all the media person of India to make all issues of public benefit as national issue. One more advise more Mangalore people. Since you are not taking part in election, this kind of wrong government will come to power and this kind of group come in action.

These Sena are as bad as the Terrorist organisation. The BJP are supporting these vandals. These sena should not be allowed to function since they are same as terrorist. Hope God destroys the members of Organisation who commit crimes against other religions so that they never again exist as humans. Their behaviour has been more as if they come from animal kingdom.

If the govt wants it can stop these incidents easily.Pass the law which makes organised attacks a major crime punishable up to life imprisonment and if death occures make it Capital Punishment. No group of any religious origin or political parties to be allowed to take law in to their own hands. only the fear of punishmemnt can stop this. This kind of incident is not taking place even in the most backward country or society.BJP govt is acting like a man who breeds mad dog to bite others but every one knows that ultimately the mad dogs will not differentiate the master and the stranger when it comes to biting.

according to the statement of their leaders, they agree this group had arranged for the attacks either the men or women, then why the Govt is not taking any action?, their chief Pramod Mutthalik considers this as a small incidents might be according to him they should have killed all from the present in the PUB, by saying this he proves that they may not stop the attacks, our govt simply listen to them.

He has forgotten that, the entire nation has witnessed the video coverage, by Daiji, flashed on National Channels. This itself is a proof of quality of a so called leader..! What better we can expect from his followers!!

Even a Murderer will say I never murdered. Shame on these People to use The God "Ram" name and attack Girls. The Video Clip Clearly Shows that they have attacked Girls and now they are behaving Innocent just fool the law. Cowards are these Leaders. The People of Ram Sen are a Pest to this society. Whatever has happened in the PUb is purely Terrorising. They should be punished with Hard Labour and made known the importance of Life. All Fearful Acts committed by Human on Human should be treated as Terrorism and booked under Strict Law that put them behind bars for minimum 3 Years.

It is very clear from the video that your men have attacked and beaten the girls. we are not blind and we can makeout the difference between men and women. Pramod Mutalik should be arrested immedeately for claiming the responsibility and booked under goonda act. As long as we have this Govt. this might not happen.

Denial in the involvement is no surprise. If accepts his fate also will be similar to Mr. Mahendra Kumar of BJDL. The Sri Rama Sena is doing all drama not for the good of the society. If he has not done the government and the law enforcement have done this. What is the necessity of Mr. Rajnath’s presence here because Mr. Yeddiyurappa is incapable to handle the situation? He will come and make nothing but political issues.

On one hand the BJP says it has nothing to do with these attacks and condemns it on the other hand Sri Ram Sena says that "this small incident is to malign the BJP government in the state". My question is why is the Ram Sena trying to defend BJP? when the BJP and its pet child the BAJRANG DAL have washed their hands off??? looks like the Ram Sena have been made the SCAPE GOATS goats by BJP... ecspecially since they are independent and have no affiliation to the Sangh Parivar. Lets not forget the initial statements by people from these outfits was that this was a "JOINT OPERATION" conducted by Bajrang Dal and Ram Sena. Now the entire blame is on Ram Sena alone and the Bajrang Dal is no where in sight.

Its a planned drama of SRS (Sri Rama Sene). They know BJP govt. will save them. And its true.. Future will reveal the truth. For exmple: Everyone has forgotten the church attacks.. No one has been punished and no one will be. Only solution for all these issues is Public awareness. Publich should unite and teach a lesson to these "terrorists".
