Abu Dhabi, Feb 1: Outing on the cool weather of January month in UAE is an unforgettable experience. Combination of Cool and sunny day is perfect day for the picnickers. Abu Dhabi Billawas have enjoyed this unique weather with fellow Billawas from Billawa Balaga Dubai at lush green carpet of Baniyas Park last Friday.

This event witnessed the first post inaugural gathering of the newly formed federation of Billawas in Middle East - Gulf Billawa Sangha. President of Guru Seva Samithi and Gulf Billawa Sangha Rajkumar attended the event with his family from Bahrain and was accompanied by Madhav Amin from Saudi Arabia who has been appointed the Treasurer of Gulf Billawa Sangha.


























Event took off with symbolic inauguration by Sudhakar Tumbe, one of the founder members of Billawa Balaga Dubai, Ashok Anchan, President of Billawa Balaga Dubai, Kishor Kotian, advisor of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi and Manohar Tonse, Convenor of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi.

Community members gathered were formed into groups and varieties of games were conducted throughout the day. Madhav Hejmady of Dubai presented a fancy item called ‘old man from Mangalore’ who distributed melodies to everyone.  After several group games, sumptuous lunch was served and thereafter small formal stage program was held.

Raj Kumar, president of Guru Seva Samithi Bahrain and President of Gulf Billawa Sangha, Madhav Amin, representative of Billawas from Saudi Arabia were the special guests on the occasion. Raj Kumar and Madhav Amin were felicitated with shawl and bouquet by Manohar Tonse, Pradeep Kirodian, Shankar Amin and Ramesh Suvarna. Other dignitaries honored with bouquets were Geeta Suvarna, President of Mahila Vibhag of Billawa Balaga Dubai, Chetana Raj Kumar and Mrs Madhav Amin.

Raj Kumar in his response appealed for togetherness, understanding and integrity among community members. Madhav Amin thanked Billawas of Abu Dhabi for the honor.

Website of Gulf Billawa Sangha www.gulfbillawasangha.com which was designed by Sudhir Sanil the founder of billawa.com, was inaugurated by Raj Kumar along with Madhav Amin, Ashok Anchan and Manohar Tonse. This website shall be the official medium and voice of Billawa community in Middle East. Suchit Kumar Organizing Secretary for gulf of Akhila Bharata Billawa Union spoke on this occasion and invited each and every one to visit the website daily and contribute valuable suggestion to make this network a successful venture. Manohar Tonse has been nominated as Editor in Chief for the website.

























The occasion has witnessed the release of a term insurance scheme for the Billawas residing in UAE by Gulf Billawa Sangha. As per the scheme every Billawa residing in UAE can get a term insurance of AED 10,000 as Life Insurance for a premium of only AED 50 in the first year. In the second year the premium would be reduced and insurance value would be increased. Manohar Tonse and Suchit Kumar briefed the members on the policy of the scheme. The scheme is the first initiative of Gulf Billawa Sangha.
 
Suresh Salian and Pradeep Kirodian conducted Games. Sudhir Kunder, Ramesh Suvarna, Dayanand Bangera, Shankar Amin, Mahesh Sanil, Pravin Bolur, Kutty Poojary, Nitin Kumar and Neeladhar lent timely support. In the end, raffle prizes and games prizes were given away. Smitha Suchit from Dubai won the first prize on the raffle draw which was gold coin. Ramesh Suvarna while proposing vote of thanks applauded Billawa Balaga Dubai for the large participation in the event.

    We all enjoyed the Picnic, day filled with fun, entertainment, games & sports. Active participation of Billawa Balaga / Mahila Vibhaga Dubai and representation of Mr. Rajkumar, Mr.Madhav Amin with their families from Gulf Billawa Sangha & inaguration of new website, made the picnic more united.     Thanks to daiji for excelent coverege.The picnic conducted by ABUDHABI BILLWA BALAGA has turned to the gret stepping stone in bringing together whole Gulf BILLAWA. the gulfbillawasangha.com inaugurated during this picnic by gulf billawa president is another additional milestone in keeping the billwa parivar in constant touch with eachother throughout the globe. to my view thise picnic is altogether gave a different meaning & will be the most memorable one forever.everyone was enjoying in the picnic as never before. the games were overwhlemingly joyous.  Thanks to abudhabi billawara balaga for being given us the opportunity to attend. all the best for your future andeavours in serviving the society.
