Kundapur: Malayalam Actress Kavya Madhavan Marries at Kollur

Kundapur, Feb 6: The wedding ceremony of national award winning Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan, who has acted in 99 Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films so far, and engineer Nishal Chandra took place at Mookambika Temple, Kollur on Thursday February 5 at 10.10 am.

The marriage was solemnized under the guidance of temple priest K N Govind Adiga and Gangadhar Bhide in a simple ceremony as per Hindu tradition, in the presence of Kavya's father Madhavan, mother Shyamala, brother Mithun, and Nishal's father M R Chandramohan Nair, mother Mani and other family members.Large number of Kavya’s fans from Kerala and Tamil Nadu arrived at the temple to witness their favourite film star's marriage ceremony.

Being a great devotee of Goddess Kollur Mookambika, Kavya married Nishal at this temple, as per the religious vow undertaken by her earlier. Kavya said that she will continue with her acting career and that her husband and parents have consented for the same. She revealed that her husband too has acted in two films just as a hobby.

Krishnaprasad Adyantaya, administrative trustee, Kollur temple, S L Maruti, executing officer, Krishnamurty, superintendent in the religious endowments department and  Sharmila Achar, trustee, were present on the occasion.
