Udupi, Mar 1: Student of Alva's college Moodabidri, Jackson D'Souza bagged gold medal in the Mangaluru university level power lifting competition that was held at Barkur near here recently. He was awarded the Best Lifter trophy. He created three new records in the competition.
Based on his stupendous performance in the Mangaluru University power lifting competition, Jackson D'Souza was selected to represent Mangaluru University in the All India inter-univeristy power lifting championship which was held at Trissur of Kerala state. Jackson bagged a bronze medal in the inter-university championship by lifting a total weight of 707.5 kg and brought laurels to the Mangaluru university.
Jackson D'Souza is trained by Pramod of Alva's college and Rajendra Ganiga of Sri Veeramaruti Gym Saligrama.
