Udupi: Journalist Shekar Ajekar conferred with Krishi Bandhu award

Udupi, Mar 2: Veteran journalist Shekar Ajekar was conferred with Krishi Bandhu award. The award was presented by veteran dramatist, organiser and president of Kannada Kalakendra B Balachandra Rao in a programme held in Mumbai recently.

Mayuravarma Samskritika Prathistana has been presenting the award every year for a dairy farmer who supports agriculture.

Shekar Ajekar termed the award as encouraging. He said that the organisation under the leadership of Kadandale Suresh Bhandary has been a model for others.
