Udupi: Govt buses are losing money due to lack of passengers – MP Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi, Mar 2: A Disha meeting held in zilla panchayat on March 1 was chaired by MP Shobha Karandlaje.

She spoke on various subjects that are concerning people. She said that cashless business runs smoothly in Kadoor-Nadoor panchayat and it should be extended to other panchayats.

She said that projects get delayed as government officials get transferred frequently.”As many as 25 projects of national highways are completed and the remaining will be completed by March,” she said.

“Electricity is provided to 3,441 houses under Deen Dayal projects. As many as 3,664 applications are received under Saubhagya project. Power connections will be provided to all the remaining houses by March. As much as 2,38,000 applications have been received for gas connections under Ujwala scheme. Fifty per cent of them are provided gas connections. Some gas agencies are harassing consumers. The licenses of such agencies should be cancelled,” she said.

Deputy Commissioner Hepsiba Rani, chief executive Sindhu Roopesh, zilla panchayat president Dinaker Babu and MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty were present.

    Government buses are not allowed to stop at few places due to goons of private buses so called time keepers.

    Let the government buses give stops in major places and call out for passengers surely many will come and common people will be of advantage and the loses also gets reduced.

    Govt.buses are loosing money ?Then do something let bus conductors are they really honest ?first check properly?Do they csh and give tickets to travellers or cash and slet travel without ticket.Let them run buses right in time .Not make too many coffee stops.Let the buses go to proper checking from time time so that somewhere inbetween brakedown.We are in a digital time,so timing should be kept either go to work or school.You should travel with this govt.bus once without giving out your ID .annyonimus Then you will realize where is the problem.

    you start travelling in bus/train rather than govt car and excess travelling by flight
