Bengaluru: Women bike rally to mark International Women’s Day

Bengaluru, Mar 4: Sakkhi is organising an exclusive bike rally in Bengaluru to mark International Women’s Day. This year, the theme of the event is called ‘Balance for Better’ and seeks to build a gender-balanced world, marketed by Breathe Entertainment.

The event will be held on the March 10 at 6:00 am. The rally will be flagged off at the Kanteerava Stadium and will culminate at the Vega City Mall at Bannerghatta Road. The rally will be flagged off by celebrity Vashnavi Chandran Menon, Sandalwood actress.



Women with all types of two-wheelers are allowed to participate in the event. Participating women need to possess proper safety gears and documents. They can also ride with pillions who are to be registered at the time of registration. Interested participants can register for the event at www.sakkhiwomentraveler.net.

Sakkhi is an organisation formed by a group of like-minded women to create a platform to empower, educate and encourage women through various platforms such as Workshops, Travel, Expos, Adventurous sports, and Meet ups. In 2018, Sakkhi has organised events such as a Walkathon, Saree Walk and a Kannada Rajyotsava event.
