Udupi: Threat message from Yashpal Suvarna - youth Cong president files complaint with SP

Udupi, Mar 4: Yashpal Suvarna, chairman of SK and Udupi District Co-operative Fish Marketing Federation Ltd , who is furious because of the press conference conducted by youth Congress president Vishwas V Amin urging to intensify the COD inquiry into the multi-crore scam pertaining to the fisheries federation, has stooped to a low level on social sites.

Yashpal, who has sent derogatory message on the Whatsapp group ‘Kalmady Friends’ in which most the members are his close aides, has threatened the family of Vishwas Amin.

Yashpal has posted a cheap comment taunting at Vishwas, in which he says “If you want money, sell your mother and sister.” A complaint in this regard is filed with the Superintendent of Police (SP) Nisha James.

The complaint says that Vishwas Amin is receiving threats of different kinds from Yashpal Suvarna and his supporters from the day he has conducted the press conference.

Prakyath Shetty, vice-president of district Congress, Yatish Karkera, president of OBC unit of district Congress, Prashant Poojary, president youth Congress of Udupi legislative constituency, Shekhar Poojary, president of youth Congress of Byndoor legislative constituency, Ramesh Shetty Kundapur, chief secretary of district youth Congress, Kartik Amin, secretary, Kaup block youth Congress, Prabhakar Acharya, chief secretary of Kaup youth Congress and scores of Congress activists were present while submitting the appeal to Nisha James, SP of the district. They urged the SP to take immediate action on the derogatory message sent by Yashpal Suvarna on his Whatsapp group.
