Mangaluru, Mar 5: The golden jubilee of Sr Susheela, the superior general of the Apostolic Carmel was celebrated on March 4 at St Ann’s Convent.
The celebration began with the thanksgiving Mass in the convent chapel. Sisters of the Karnataka Province joined Sr Susheela to thank God for the fifty golden years of faithfulness.
The celebrant Fr Melwyn Pinto preached a fitting homily and prayed for sister. This was followed by a felicitation programme wherein Sr Susheela was greeted with a blessing song and words of appreciation and gratitude. Secretary General Sr Jenifer D’Silva and Bursar general Sr Maria Pavitha were present at the occasion.
The provincial superior Sr Carmel Rita was present. Sr Rose Agnes, compered the programme. The programme ended with a fellowship meal.
