Kasargod, Mar 5: A blood donation camp was held under the joint auspices of Janaraksha and Deshiya Vedi of the city and Blood Helpline Karnataka ® with the active participation of Red Cross Society blood bank of Mangaluru on Monday, March 4 at the V P Complex of Mogral near here.

The stage programme of the event was inaugurated by Biju, police inspector of Kumble police station. Siddique Rehman, president of Deshiya Vedi presided over the programme.

As many as 71 people participated in the camp and donated their blood. The officers and staff of Red Cross Society blood bank Mangaluru helped in collecting blood from the donors.

Nasir Bayar, social worker, who is re-elected as the chairman of Janaraksha and K P Mohammed were felicitated on the occasion.

Mahin Master, Sayyed Hadi Tangal, Nisar Ullal, T M Suhaib, Nasir Mogral, M Mohammed, Dr J N Bhat, Abdul Kareem Faizee, M A Moosa, A Abdul Rehman, T K Anwar, M M Rehman and office bearers of Janaraksha and Deshiya Vedi and blood helpline Karnataka were present.

Riaz Mogral welcomed the gathering. Vijay Kumar rendered the vote of thanks.
