Mysuru: Deve Gowda to fight from local Lok Sabha constituency?

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Mar 6: District in-charge and higher education minister, G T Deve Gowda, said that former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda, would be fighting the coming Lok Sabha election on JD(S) ticket.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday March 5, he said that if Congress and JD(S) are able to enter into understanding on seat sharing, JD(S) national president, Deve Gowda, will be the party candidate from here. "There is no other candidate for us. My son, G D Harish Gowda, will also not fight the election. My family is yet to recover from assembly election I fought from Chamundeshwari constituency last time," he said.

Ugrappa from Ballari

MP, V S Ugrappa, speaking at Ballari on Tuesday, said that there is no confusion about the fact that he would be the party candidate for Ballari Lok Sabha election. "When seeking votes during the recent bypoll, I had sought votes for five years and five months. I got blessings of the electorate. Rumours about the party ticket eluding me this time are false. No one is opposing my candidature, and the party has already decided on my candidature. MLA, Nagendra, is like my brother, and he is supporting me. BJP leaders are spreading false rumours unnecessarily," he stated.
