Kundapur, Mar 6: Hindu leaders held a protest meeting against the people who accused Chakravarthy Sulibele of making a communally inciting speech recently at Bhandarkar’s college in the town.

In the protest meeting that was held at the Akshata auditorium of Hotel Hariprasad in the town, Hindu leaders and activists expressed their fury against the progressive people who objected the recent speech of Chakravathy Sulibele and Narayan Shetty, the principal of the college, who allowed Sulibele to address the students.

“Every citizen of the country should feel devotion towards his nation. It is not wrong of Chakravarthy Sulibele partaking in the programme that was organized in honour of the martyred soldiers of Pulwama, who laid down their lives for the protection of the country from the enemy. The principal of Bhandarkar’s college has allowed Sulibele to address the students in order to create devotion towards the country in them. There is no harm in sloganeering in favour of the leader who is able to take the country forward. We have to question the threats that are given to the principal, who has not committed any mistake,” expressed various leaders who partook in the protest meeting.

Premanand Shetty, RSS Pramukh, said, “Whole world is laughing at the traitors, who are inside our country. If these traitors do not believe the courage of our soldiers, then let us be soldiers and support our soldiers. If we celebrate the victory of the armed forces, the progressive people of our country oppose. People of this kind are nurturing the traitors. The work of pushing down Hindus mentally is being done. We have to burn like the oil of the lamp in these times.”

“The soldiers who have lost their lives are not poor. They are financially strong. More than 75% of the soldiers are rich. There was no need for them to elect the armed forces profession for their livelihood. Our youths are attempting to shame the devotion towards the nation, sacrifice and service of the soldiers and trying to shut our mouth,” added Premananda Shetty.

Speaking on the occasion, Shankar Ankadakatte said, “Columnist Sulibele does not bring politics in his articles about the country and armed forces. Progressive thinkers are born in this country to suppress the voice of Chakravarthy Sulibele, who writes every day in newspapers about those who are laying down their lives for the country. We have seen people raising slogans for Modi in programmes organized by the Congress. When Jignesh Mevani, who conducted anti-nation activities in JNU, won in the elections, these very progressive people had celebrated his victory in the town by distribution sweets.”

Satish Poojary, Kiran Kundapur, member of town municipality Prabhakar, Rashtriya Sevika Samiti member Prema Padiyar and Vinod Poojary were present.
