Eagleton resort assault case, judicial custody of MLA Ganesh extended

Ramnagar, Mar 6: The judicial custody of Kampli MLA J N Ganesh, who was arrested by the police for the assault on Congress MLA Anand Singh at the Eagleton resort is extended.

Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court of the district ordered the extension of Ganesh’s judicial custody to March 19.

Fourteen days period of judicial custody of Kampli Ganesh got over on Wednesday, March 6. However, the MLA did not attend the hearing on Wednesday, due to ill health. Therefore, the court extended his judicial custody for another 14 days.

It might be recalled that Kampli MLA Ganesh had assaulted Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh brutally on January 20 at the Eagleton Resort near Bidadi. Ganesh, who was missing after the incident, was arrested in Gujarat on February 20.
