Madikeri, Mar 12: The land of Cauvery, which was seething from the heat got cooled due to the good rains it received on Monday March 11.
Napoklu, Madenadu, Bettageri and the town of Madikeri received good rains.
Rains with thunder showered in the taluk at 4.30 am and on the evening of Monday. However, compared to last year, this time the rain from January till date is lesser. As the usual rain was missing, a special puja was offered recently at Talakaveri, the place where the Kaveri river originates.
