Congratulations Byaris. Byari is a great language. Sounds very good. I am proud that Sahitya Akademy now officially starts functioning for thelanguage of my neighbourhood. I once had the previlage to recite a Konkani Poetry in a packed hall in a multi-lingual poetry sammelan organised by Byari's in Permannur.

I would be happy to learn this language. I request the new Karnataka Byari Sahitya Akademy to bring out literature to facilitate non-byari's to learn byari language. - Ancy Paladka, Konkani Poet, Mumbai

I congratulate all the Bearys for the newly established and long awaited “Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy” and appreciate so many community leaders for their continued efforts over the years to get this language noticed. Also I appreciate the concerned people of Government of Karnataka for choosing the right president in Advocate MB Abdul Rahman who has struggled a lot for the last more than ten years to get this academy. Special mention should be made of Bearys Association, Bangalore and its members  Ummer Teekay, Sayyed Beary, and other office bearers, ex-minister BA Moideen and many more who all are instrumental in establishing this coveted academy. I congratulate the charter president Mr Rahman and his team and also wish them all the best on behalf of all the Beary community members of Abu Dhabi. A special feature of all the linguistic academies of our coastal districts, may it be Tulu Academy, Konkani or Kodava Academy, all are closely interlinked with Kannada. I wish all these community academies, including Bearys Academy , be still more cohesive with Kannada and help in integrating the people of Karnataka.
