Bengaluru: Names of voters missing from voters' list, BJP raises complaint

Bengaluru, Mar 13: The BJP has accused that in certain Lok Sabha constituency limits, names of scores of people, including those who live in apartments, is left out en masse and there is political intention behind this act and appealed to the state election officers to investigate the issue and correct the voters list.

BJP delegation led by chief secretary C T Ravi met the state chief election officer Sanjeev Kumar and submitted an appeal in this regard. Speaking to the scribes after submitting the appeal, C T Ravi said, "The chief election officer has responded positively to our complaint and assured that action will be taken, if such information is given before March 16.

C T Ravi also said, "We have urged the chief election officer not to give opportunity for the illegal migrants to vote. On social sites only the advertisements in favour of candidate and party is banned. However, there is no restriction in sharing other information. But the confusion that is created in this respect is brought to the attention of the election officer."
