Shivamogga: MP B Y Raghavendra takes part in BJP’s preliminary election meeting

Shivamogga, Mar 13: “I have represented Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency twice. Yeddyurappa has represented it once. The current MLA in the constituency belongs to BJP. We intend to make Byndoor a model constituency. Sufficient grants are received for Byndoor in the past also. We have to join, unite and face elections. Byndoor is the constituency which has brought highest margin among eight Vidhan Sabha constituencies during last elections,” said MP B Y Raghavendra.

He was speaking in a preliminary meeting of Vandse and Kavradi Shakti Kendras held at MLA’s residence in Nempu on Tuesday March 12.



“I have started visits in the constituency from today. The work of making activists gather and prepare for elections has started. Only BJP has activists who get down to work immediately. I will work making sure that the aspirations of party workers and people do not become false in the future also,” he said.

MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, BJP Byndoor mandala president Sadananda Uppinakudru, BJP division co organizing secretary Nataraj, BJP Raita morcha chief secretary Dattatreya, BJP leader Pravin Kumar Gurme, Shakthi Kendra leaders Ramachandra Manja Maranakatte, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Prabhaker Shetty, Byndoor mandala chief secretary Balachandra Bhat, Mahila morcha president Priyadarshine, zilla panchayat members Babu Hegde, Rohith Kumar Shetty, taluk panchayat president Shamala Kunder, taluk panchayat member Surendra Kharvi, Mahendra Poojary, Narayan Gujjadi, Manju Devadiga, Shekhar Devadiga and others were present.

Byndoor mandala chief secretary Deepak Kumar Shetty welcomed and compered the programme.
