Mangaluru: Jeevandhara Social Service Trust celebrates International Women’s Day

Mangaluru, Mar 13: Jeevandhara Social Service Trust celebrated International Women’s Day on March 13 at Sacred Heart’s Primary School Hall Kulshekar.

Savitha DSouza, the coordinator of Child Line Mangaluru was the chief guest, Sr Shubha BS, provincial councilor of Mangaluru province was the president, Babitha, the trainer of Prime Minister Kaushalya Schemes at Kavoor and Sr Anna Maria BS, secretary of Jeevandhara Social Service Trust were the resource persons of the day.

Sr Rekha BS, the director of Jeevandhara Centre Kulshekar welcomed the gathering. Savitha, in her message encouraged the women to be positive in their outlook towards life. She quoted the examples of some of the women who are achievers. Babitha spoke about the various courses availed for the youth under PMKK Scheme. Sr Anna Maria enlightened the women on the issue of Human Trafficking. Sr Shubha BS in her presidential address called the women to be trend setter in order to create a new world order.

Women from 10 self-help groups and tailoring students were present and participated in the programme. Sr Herita presented the report with PPT. Tailoring students presented the cultural programme. Sr Florita BS rendered the vote of thanks to all those who were part of this venture. Ashwini and Bharathi compered the day’s programme.
