Mangalore: Bapsy Rodrigues Excels in CA Finals

Mangalore, Feb 19: Bapsy Rodrigues from Kulshekhar in the city, has secured highest aggregate marks in the finals of her Chartered Accountancy examination held in November 2007 as given below, communication regarding which was received recently.
a) among the candidates from southern region
b) among the candidates from the state of Tamil Nadu, and
c) among the lady candidates from southern region.
In consequence thereof, she has also become eligible to receive V Soundararajan Memorial Endowment Prize, M G Subrahmanian Cash Award and P Gopalakrishna Rao Prize Fund prize.
Bapsy is the eldest daughter of Frank Rodrigues, a Syndicate Bank employee and Mazie Rodrigues nee Moras, a teacher of St Agnes High School, Bendoor in the city and a resident of Ummikhan Estate, Kulshekhar.
She has been the topper since her childhood, won principal's roll of honour during all the years of her study in college and received the 'Best Outgoing Student' award. Besides, she won several medals and trophies in various competitions at school, college, district and state levels like quiz, singing, seminar, flower arrangement, collage, mad-ads, venture capitalists and compered many programmes and functions. She was the vice president of ICYM Kulshekhar unit in 2006.
In addition, Bapsy got the 'Rashtrapati Puraskar' in guiding. She got the fifth rank in B Com final examination held by Mangalore University in the year 2004.
Her hobbies are music, reading, singing, gardening and philately. She underwent articleship under the guidance of leading chartered accountant from city, Nitin J Shetty.
