Mangalore: National B-school Meet ‘Verve-2009’ on at AIBA

Mangalore, Feb 21: ‘Verve-2009’, a national-level business school meet organized by the Aloysius Institute of Business Management (AIBA), was inaugurated at IT auditorium on Friday February 20.
 
Max Rasquinha, chairman, International Institute for Public Policy (IIPP) inaugurated the two-day event and said, “Business always has a wide spectrum, which involves risk and economic crisis is common in business. But the businessman who succeeds after facing risks and overcoming crisis, becomes great”.
 

Jayaram Bhat, CEO, Zen  Prise, USA, said that recession  is  common and it has happened  before also. “Recession will come and go, but business goes on. Risk-taking is the essence of business and students of business management must be experts in facing risks,” he said.
 
Fr Sweebert  D’Silva, principal  of the college said that with such programmes the college aims at moulding good  students and thus, a good society.

The two-day meet will have eight events such as ‘Corporate Hera Pheri’ (marketing event), ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (human resources), ‘Corporate Goal Maal’(finance event), ‘Bheja Fry’ (business quiz), ‘Shathranj’ (corporate framing), ‘Baazigar’ (investment  event), ‘Muqaddar ka Sikander’ (best manager), and ‘Rang de Basanti’ (cultural).
 
Fr Denzil Lobo, director, Udaya Shetty, faculty co-ordinator, and student  leaders Neil Goveas, and Aminash  Ferrao, were also  present.
